Description
Mera of Atlantis is The Aquawoman of Earth–Α2ΔΣ–′78 and The Action & Adventure Comics universe’s Queen of The Seas.
The Action & Adventure Comics project aims not to radically reinvent, dissect, or lambast the world’s greatest superheroes, but to celebrate them. Distilled from the best versions of themselves across 75+ year histories and removed from “comic book time” and “negative continuity”, characters age, learn, and evolve in a cohesive series of narratives. In an imprint named for classic Superman titles, heroes act like heroes and get to save the day.

"This is part of the first group of teasers for the superheroes of Earth–Α2ΔΣ–′78: The Action and Adventure Comics project. As you might have guessed, Ultimate Lomeli and I are both quite partial to Aquaman. Once you stop being embarrassed by his concept or insecure about him, as a character, Aquaman is fun. (see - Batman: The Brave & The Bold) One of my favorite elements of Aquaman is his marriage. Arthur/Orin and Mera are in Love. Like, I can’t think of many romances this passionate. Gomez and Morticia Addams? Maes and Gracia Hughes? That’s #RelationshipGoals, right there. To be as in Love as Aquaman and Aquawoman. So, I’d be a monster not to include Mera in my Justice League lineup. You don’t break up a winning team.
Ultimate Lomeli –
"Valentine's Day Special, for what is a king without his queen? Rounding out the Justice League, we have Mera. I don't know why more comic book characters aren't married. I guess writers see that as an end to adventures or an end to the will-they-won't-they dynamic that might have worked so well previously, but what's an end if not a new beginning? Azure mentioned Gomez and Morticia, and that's an example of a marriage done right, where the relationship is fun and healthy. Let's talk design: We drew upon her look in Young Justice and the animated adaption of Flashpoint Paradox as a starter, with a semi-transparent skirt added on. Red streaks in her hair harken back to her original design. Add in the tattoos Aquaman sports, which I think I did a great job on, a bombastic smile, and a bonus outfit I wanted to make, and we have Mera!"
Note - As this set of micros was commissioned, please refrain from using any parts. Thanks.
